With the Chula Vista Cultural Arts Commission

February 13, 2017

After an incredible evening of bringing together artists from across Chula Vista and the South Bay, posing with fellow members of the Chula Vista Cultural Arts Commission (Al Gore, Ginny Swyhyh, Karen Daniels, Lynnette Tessitore-Lopez, Leticia Cazares, Jennifer Rodriguez and Griselda Delgado).

The arts must be at forefront of progress in Chula Vista and the South Bay. Because the arts -visual and performing - have the potential to tell stories while bringing the community together, we cannot choose to ignore this very important field.

I am very encouraged - and fully support - the renewed push to evolve STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) to STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math).
